DESCRIPTION

Your Voice, Your Health, a better healthier Wales?

This event is specifically tailored for members of the public and community groups to attend. Employed workers are welcome in a support role to enable members of the public and community groups to attend on the day, but other arrangements have been made to capture the opinions of professionals from the public and voluntary sectors.
The informal and relaxed 2 hour session will consist of interactive activities to find out what the public thinks about the health services in Wales; what’s working, what needs to be improved and ideas on how we can achieve a healthier Wales?
The event will take place 10am-1pm with coffee and tea on arrival and a Buffet Lunch at 12noon.

Event Background
There is an Independent Parliamentary Review (set up by Welsh Government) going on into the future of health and social care in Wales. There is an event on 31st May in Cardiff contributing to this review. However, this will not just be for doctors, academics and civil servants; The Review has the full ambition to include the voice of the general public in this review; to hear YOUR views and YOUR solutions to creating a better and healthier Wales.
There will be a limited number of tickets available to members of the public for this event in Cardiff on 31st May but prior to this meeting, the Review have organised a strictly “public only” informal workshop to be held at Merthyr Redhouse on May 18th. These tickets will be first made available at this workshop and will be on a first come, first served basis to those that attend.
