Many of you already support Carers / Young Carers or at least have a great deal to offer Carers; we have a small budget set aside to work with Carers as well as specialist organisations / local groups. This budget is going to be split to different areas of Powys to enable Carers to have as much decision making Power as possible – so each area will be in touch over the next year. Youth Services Reorganization – Workshop to plan consultation activity 24 August 2016

At a meeting held on 20 June 2016 to learn more about and discuss Powys County Council’s plans for the reorganization of Youth Service provision, a number of organisations attending expressed an interest in working with the Local Authority to help develop the approach to engaging with and consulting young people themselves regarding the proposed changes.
In consequence, a workshop will held with PCC on 24 August 2016 to help develop the methodology to be used and the questions to be asked. It will be held 1.30-4.30pm at the PAVO Offices, Unit 30 Ddole Road Industrial Estate, Llandrindod Wells, LD1 6 DF.
If you, or others from your organisation, wish to attend the workshop, please could you confirm your attendance with PAVO by contacting darren.smith@pavo.org.uk or 01597 822191.

Autism Survey - Parents / Carers & Individuals with ASD

Parents / Carers

Dear parent / carer

As part of our work this year we are looking at methods of increasing access to leisure and social activities for individuals with autism. One parent has suggested using optional identity band/badges to help staff to recognise when someone has a hidden need. The band/badge would not state someone has autism but staff would be made aware that the band/badge implied this. This could then be supported by awareness raising information.

We are seeking views of parents / carers around this and so would be grateful if you could answer the 5 questions on the link below:

Many thanks

Rydyn ni’n hel sylwadau rhieni/cynhalwyr am hyn ac, felly, bydden ni’n ddiolchgar pe gallech chi ateb y pum cwestiwn ar y ddolen isod:
