A one-day course

A one day course aimed at anyone working directly or indirectly with children and young people in a wide range of workplace and community settings. The purpose of the training is to give participants confidence and essential knowledge on how to safeguard the children and young people in their environment. 
 
The training is accredited through Agored Cymru and participants will need to complete assessments to demonstrate learning. Upon successful completion of an assignment the participant will achieve 3 credits at Level 2. This unit forms part of the Welsh quality assurance framework for vocational training.  
 
As a result of the training participants will:
  • Learn about the legislation, guidelines, policies and procedures for safeguarding the welfare of children and young people, including E-safety
  • Understand the roles of different agencies involved in safeguarding the welfare of children and young people
  • Understand how to safeguard children, young people and practitioners in a work setting
  • Identify the characteristics of different types of child abuse
  • Know how to respond to evidence or concerns that a child or young person has been abused, harmed or bullied
  • Be able to describe the principles and boundaries of confidentiality and when to share information

Cwrs undydd

Cwrs undydd a anelir at unrhyw un sy'n gweithio'n uniongyrchol neu'n anuniongyrchol gyda phlant a phobl ifanc mewn amrediad eang o gyd-destunau yn y gweithle neu'r gymuned. Diben yr hyfforddiant yw rhoi hyder a gwybodaeth hanfodol i'r sawl sy'n cymryd rhan am sut i ddiogelu plant a phobl ifanc yn eu hamgylchedd. 
 
Mae'r hyfforddiant wedi ei achredu drwy Agored Cymru a bydd angen i'r cyfranogwyr gwblhau asesiadau i dangos yr hyn maent wedi ei ddysgu. Ar ôl cwblhau aseiniad yn llwyddiannus bydd y cyfranogwr yn ennill 3 chredyd ar Lefel 2. Mae'r uned hon yn rhan o fframwaith sicrhau ansawdd Cymru ar gyfer hyfforddiant galwedigaethol.  
 
O ganlyniad i'r hyfforddiant bydd cyfranogwyr:
  • Yn dysgu am y ddeddfwriaeth, canllawiau, polisïau a gweithdrefnau ar gyfer diogelu lles plant a phobl ifanc, gan gynnwys E-ddiogelwch
  • Yn deall rolau gwahanol asiantaethau sy'n ymwneud â diogelu lles plant a phobl ifanc
  • Yn deall sut i ddiogelu plant, pobl ifanc ac ymarferwyr mewn cyd-destun gwaith
  • Yn adnabod nodweddion mathau gwahanol o gamdriniaeth plant
  • Yn gwybod sut i ymateb i dystiolaeth neu bryderon bod plentyn neu berson ifanc wedi cael ei gam-drin, ei niweidio neu ei fwlio
  • Yn gallu disgrifio egwyddorion a therfynau cyfinachedd a phryd i rannu gwybodaeth
