PROTECTING COMMUNITY ASSETS CONSULTATION

Consultation: Protecting Community Assets

Do you cherish your church, do you love your library, or are you maybe just partial to your pub? From 21 May to 11 September the Welsh Government is running a consultation to gather your views on how we can protect our community assets across Wales. This is your chance to tell us how we can help you have a say in how the local facilities that are important to you are run.

If you care about your community assets and would like to take part in the consultation then please read the full consultation document which provides extra information. Then answer the five questions included in it. You can access the information by clicking here:

Safeguarding in the voluntary sector: June 2015 editionSafe Network
Welcome to the June edition of the Safe Network newsletter.

A quick hello from me as I have now taken over the mantel from Simon Massey, who I would like to thank for doing such a fantastic job as Head of Safe Network over the last few years.

Although there are changes to what Safe Network is offering, the website and core safeguarding resources will still be available with a number of new or updated resources due for launch soon. Keep up-to-date with our developments via these newsletters and follow@thesafenetwork on Twitter.

Since our last newsletter we have picked up an award, which was a total surprise! We won ‘Charity / Community of the Year’ at the British LGBT Awards, click here to see what happened at the event.

Also if you didn’t get a chance to download our latest Charities Evaluation Services reports about our services you can find them here.

If you have any thoughts you'd like to share, please get in touch, we'd be delighted to hear from you.

All the best
